Like all of the best ideas, the Fisherman's Chillba was born on a kayaking trip in Okinawa. KAVU's founder Barry Barr kept losing his sun hat in the wet rain but the guide had no problems with his reed sloped hat. Once again, an idea was born. This foldable sunhat is perfect for travel and excellent in wind with a drawcord chinstrap. Support local - the Fisherman's Chillba is still made in beautiful Seattle. Even the steel ring brim is made at Ballard Sheet Metal located just down the street from KAVU HQ.

Returns

Any unsuitable items can be returned for a refund within 30 days.

Sale items must be returned within 14 days.

Extended returns period for Christmas orders means anything ordered on or after the 2nd of December can be returned at any time up to the 18th of January 2026.

Unsuitable items must be returned in the same condition that you received them in, unworn or unused, with any tags attached, and in any original packaging.
